Tipe 1-Aktiwiteite (Onderwysergesentreerd)

Tipe 1-aktiwiteite include:

  • Lees van opvoedkundige matreiaal
  • Betrokkendheid by elektroniese opvoedkundige leergeleenthede
  • Bywoning van vakbondvergaderings, vakvergaderings en ander vergaderings
  • betrokkenheid by gemeenskapsontwikkeling
  • bespreking van opvoedkundige onderwerpe
  • Mentorskap en afrigting
  • Navorsing oor onderws en leer
  • Merk en assessering van NSC-eksamens
  • Bywoning van selfbefondste werkswinkels
Tipe 2 Aktiwiteite (Skoolgebaseerd)
Hierdie aktiwiteite sluit die volgende in:
  • Deelname aan fondsinsamelings
  • Bywoning van bestuursvergaderings
  • Bywoning van kommittee-vergaderings
  • Bespreking van opvoedkundige onderwerpe met kollegas, 
  •  betrokkenheid by skoolprojekte
Tipe 3-Aktiwiteite (Buitestaanders)
Hierdie aktiwiteite sluit aktiwiteite in wat deur buite-instansies aangebied word.  Die staat vereis egter dat onderwysers van eksterne voorsieners onafhanklik moet word, dus moet onderwysers seker maak dat hulle die verantwoordelikheid vir hul eie leer kan dra.

Type 1-activities (Teacher initiated)

These activities are initiated by teachers and include

  • Reading educational material
  • participation in e-learning activities
  • attending union and subject and school meetings
  • participation in community development
  • discussing educational matters
  • mentoring and coaching
  • reaearch with regard to teaching and learning
  • marking and assessing NSC examinations
  • attending self-funded work shops

Type 2 activities (school initiated)
These activities include:
  • participation in fund raising projects
  • attending management meetings
  • attending committee meetings
  • discussing educational matters with colleagues
  • participation in school initiated projects
Type 3-activities (externally initiated)
These activities are initiated outside school settings. However, teachers have to realise that they are required to become independent from outsiders, therefore they need to ensure that they are capable of taking the responsibility for their own learning
